Smart Home
Thinking way forward.
Frame of Mind
Safety and comfort are priorities that are hard to overestimate. A smart home gives you control over all essential functions of your living space: lighting, heating, ventilation, security, multimedia and more. Everything is managed via one user-friendly app — anytime, anywhere.
One of the greatest advantages of the system is the integration of various devices and technologies into a single ecosystem. You no longer need to switch between different apps from different manufacturers. Smart lighting from one brand, an audio system from another, an oven from a third — everything works harmoniously through one central application.
This approach removes unnecessary complexity and allows you to focus on what truly matters: comfort, safety and an environment tailored to your needs.
One house. One system. One control.

Lighting
- Motion sensors
- Automatic activation of lighting when motion is detected and deactivation when there is no motion.
- Example: hallway or bathroom lights that work only when needed.
- Scheduled control
- Turning lights on and off at preset times (e.g., for a gentle wake-up or cozy evening mood).
- Example: outdoor lights turn on automatically at 6:00 PM.
- Brightness control based on natural light
- Automatic dimming or brightening of artificial light depending on daylight levels in the room.
- Example: lights dim during the day and brighten in the evening.
- Scene-based lighting
- Create and activate custom light scenes for different situations, such as “Cinema” mode with dimmed main lights and ambiance lighting.
- Example: “Morning” scene with gradual lighting and curtains opening.
- Remote control via mobile app
- Ability to control lights remotely using a smartphone app, from anywhere in the world.
- Example: turn on lights before arriving home to create a welcoming atmosphere.

Security
- Video surveillance
- Cameras record continuously or on schedule. Footage is saved in the cloud or locally.
- Example: recording starts and user is notified when intrusion is detected.
- Water leakage detection
- Sensors detect leaks, triggering electromagnetic valves to shut off the water supply.
- Example: water is shut off within 2–4 seconds and a smartphone alert is sent.
- Fire safety
- Smoke, temperature, and carbon monoxide sensors monitor the air. In danger, sirens go off and smart plugs are deactivated.
- Example: if smoke is detected, power is cut in the affected area and the owner is alerted.
- Intrusion protection
- Motion, door/window opening, and glass break sensors protect the home.
- Security modes:
- — "Home": Only perimeter is active.
- — "Night": Perimeter active, interior inactive.
- — "Away": All sensors active.
- Glass break detection
- Acoustic sensors recognize breaking glass.
- Example: siren activates, cameras record, and owner receives a notification.

Climate control
- Personalized scenes
- Users can configure their own climate scenes (such as "Morning", "Workday", "Evening", "Night") via app or voice assistant.
- Smart triggers
- Scenes are triggered based on:
- — time (scheduled),
- — sensors (motion, temperature, humidity),
- — manual control (app or voice).
- Automated device actions
- The system manages heating, cooling, ventilation, and humidification according to the selected scene.
- Scene examples
- "Morning": Trigger: 7:00 AM or alarm. Heating to 22°C, fresh air supply activated.
- Example: floor heating in the bathroom, warm living room.
- "Workday": Trigger: 9:00 AM or no motion detected. Temperature drops to 18°C, humidifier turns off.
- Example: energy-saving mode while away.
- "Evening": Trigger: 6:00 PM or arrival via geolocation. Temperature rises to 23°C, humidifier activates if air is dry.
- Example: cozy atmosphere in living and dining rooms.
- "Night": Trigger: 11:00 PM or bedroom motion. Cooling to 20°C, silent ventilation enabled.
- Example: cool bedroom, other rooms switch off.

Curtain control
- Morning scene
- — Trigger: 7:00 AM or alarm.
- — Curtains and sheer drapes open gradually, roller blinds rise halfway for soft daylight.
- — Example: comfortable wake-up with natural light.
- Day scene
- — Trigger: bright sunlight detected by light sensor.
- — Roller blinds lower and awnings extend to protect interiors and terrace from heat.
- — Example: prevents overheating of the home.
- Evening scene
- — Trigger: 6:00 PM or sunset.
- — Thick curtains close, sheer curtains remain open for soft lighting.
- — Example: cozy evening atmosphere.
- Night scene
- — Trigger: 10:00 PM or "Sleep mode".
- — All curtains close fully, awnings retract.
- — Example: privacy and energy saving during the night.
- "Nobody Home" mode
- — Trigger: geolocation indicates the house is empty.
- — Curtains close automatically to simulate presence, awnings fold up to protect from wind.
- — Example: enhanced security and protection during absence.

Access control and intercom
- Intercom features
- — Intercom with touchscreen, live video and audio connection.
- — Built-in night vision camera and motion sensor.
- — Remote control: answer calls and open doors via app.
- — NFC recognition: doors open automatically for registered users.
- — Temporary access: unique codes for guests, deliveries or cleaning services.
- — Security: intrusion attempts trigger siren, recording, and notification.
- — Full control over electric locks, gates, and barriers.
- — Two-way communication: talk to visitors even when away.
- — Video logging of events: calls and motions are recorded.
- Scenario examples
- 1. Delivery: Courier rings → you get a notification → remotely open the gate → delivery is recorded on camera.
- 2. Party: Guests use temporary access code → garden lighting and music activate → access revoked after 2 hours.
- 3. Night security: Motion at the gate triggers light and recording → unknown person? Siren activates.
- 4. Integrated system: Intercom and access work together with climate, lighting, and other Loxone systems.

Outdoor Automation
- Facade and garden lighting
- — Activation by schedule (e.g. from sunset to sunrise).
- — Motion-triggered lighting on paths and entrances.
- — Scenes like "Party" with colorful lighting.
- — Example: lights turn on automatically as you approach home.
- Outdoor audio system
- — Music control via app or voice.
- — Separate zones: terrace, pool, BBQ area with different music.
- — Example: background music during dinner on the terrace.
- Perimeter security
- — Cameras, motion sensors, and gate detectors.
- — Sirens and alerts in case of suspicious motion.
- — Example: detection activates lighting and camera recording.
- Irrigation and weather-based control
- — Automatic sprinkling based on schedule and rain detection.
- — Weather-based management of heating, lighting, and awnings.
- — Example: awnings retract during strong wind.
- Pool management
- — Temperature control, pH and chlorine level monitoring.
- — Automated filters and pumps.
